Dot.Com Sketches
A few sketches here done on my new Wacom tablet. Very odd "drawing" on a computer...
Saint Somebody
This probably dates from around 1996, when I was several years into a third-shift housekeeping/floor maintenance job at the city library. The pay was good, the benefits amazing, and the work largely unsupervised -- so I often finished my duties in a couple hours and spent the rest of each night reading, writing or drawing.
Every Christmas one of the library departments would always set out a little nativity scene, and this was drawn directly from one of the plastic figures. I drew it in pencil and inked it when I got home.
5 x 14" on lightweight paper
Hopper hammer
Study of an Edward Hopper illustration.
Face like a frying pan
Copies from some old comics -- obviously Rocky & Bullwinkle, maybe another as well.
Soleil
This is a copy from some awful cosmetics ad (or something) in a magazine -- I think I drew it my senior year of high school or first year of college.
Red ball point

Drew this in the car while deciding if I really wanted to walk across the street and step into work and start answering phones... God I hated that job. To this day I can't stand talking on the phone. If the date is accurate this would have been my second (and last) year of art school.
Ribbons

Copied from an old yearbook.
Not much going on here

Why I deemed this worthy of inclusion, I have no idea.
Very sexy

The woman getting pow-ed was copied from some old comic book.
Sleeping alien

Awww, innit he cute?
Sure -- until the PROBING begins!
Lines are busy

Probably drawn while on the clock at a terrible phone-answering job I had years ago.
Draw what you know, yes?

One of the many dullards that populate my sketchbooks.
