Movie Review: "The Endless Summer"
Utterly charming, in the best sense of the word. Evokes a time when surfing (and skating) wasn't the province of loutish, tattooed and pierced oafs overcompensating for their low IQs and short attention spans with "extreme" behavior and rude attitudes, or airhead mimbos admiring their own stoned reflections in tidepools. This is the 1960s that fascinates me: where "square" met "out there" and actually found a middle ground that pointed the way towards something interesting. Too bad it didn't last. 8/10
