Artzybasheff Extras

artzy (0).jpgA small set of advertising illustrations here from the great, great Boris Artzybasheff, one of my favorite - and one of the most peculiar - commercial artists of the 20th century. These were taken from the pages of Fortune magazine, circa WW2 or shortly thereafter... unfortunately I don't know the exact dates, nor do I know which companies the ads were created for. Nonetheless, it's great stuff and I eagerly await the definitive monograph of his work.
