Early George Carlson
Cover art and several interior pages by peculiar "Golden Age" cartoonist George Carlson for something called John Martin's Big Book, from 1929. The cover art and first three pages here are certainly by his hand, as the work is signed. However...
... I'm not so sure about the remaing pages, though they appear to match his style, as there are other, similar-but-not-quite illustrations throughout the book which are signed with different names.
