Childcraft - How and Why

cf01.jpgOkay, several scans from Childcraft: The How and Why Library, Volume 12, 1973 edition. I've seen dozens of these things over the years, and they're just about always good for a few nice illustrations, if not a whole bookfull. Naturally the earlier volumes feature more (and finer) illustrations and fewer photos, but this one still has a nice mix of stuff.

cf02.jpgThese first two examples are by cartoonist Morrie Brickman. Reminds me a bit of Bill Hoest.

cf04.jpgThe next four were painted by Sharon Elzaurdia, Beautiful work, unfortunately I found next to nothing about her online.

cf08.jpgThese two pages are, obviously, from an article about the production of one of the Peanuts television specials.

cf10.jpgArtwork by Suzi Hawes.

cf11.jpgThis lovely piece is by Joyce John. Can't tell how it was executed... colored tissue paper? transparent markers? watercolor?

cf12.jpgPages by, respectively, George Suyeoka and Jerry Skolnick.
