Who's Harry?

hbsig.jpgWell, I suppose I should really be posting more of my own work to the site, but I guess I'll get to that whenever I get to it -- meanwhile, I've posted some work by artist Harry Bennett over on the etc. page of the site. I think it's some good stuff, and I imagine he's done even more - and better - work, but this is what I managed to find at this point. If anyone knows of a website featuring his art or has any sort of biographical info for Mr. Bennett, please let me know. Thanks for looking.

I came across some of his origional pieces recently and my husband actually bought me one for our anniversary. I got the origional painting of the cover of the book "Senior Prom" by Rosamond Du Jardin. I am trying to learn all I can about Harry Bennett. I guess he lives in Oregon now and is in his 80's. I am absolutely in love with his pieces.

Hi,
I could not help posting when I saw this thread about my dear old friend Harry. Harry used to rent a converted barn cottage from my late grandmother's place in South Kent Connecticut during the very early 1980's. I have a painting (of a flower he gave as a gift--which I treasure!). I was attending a local Prep School (South Kent) and Harry was the subject of my senior English paper. I fondly remember the interviews and more, our friendship. Hope to see more about Harry online.
Perhaps a Wikepedia article should be posted.

Cheers;
Jonathan

Thanks for the great comment!

Yeah, I too looked for a Wikipedia article about Harry before I posted the scans of his work, but none existed.
